Assisi Animal Refuge • Trap Neuter & Release • Humane Education

In the local news

On 23 Sept Williamson County Humane Society and our own Michaela Ramos, board member of Centex Humane Society removed over 100 animals from a puppy mill in Bell County. Some of these animals were in bad shape and conditions for all the animals was bad as stated in the Temple paper 27 Sept 2011. Some questions, why has the Bell County Animal Control who has known about this puppy mill for some time not taken action? Why are these people not in jail? And why was Centex Humane Society not able to take any of the animals? As this new puppy mill law gets going it is time for all of us to take action. Clearing these puppy mills out of Central Texas will help adoption rates at Centex and our city shelters. It is time to declare war on all breeders and puppy mills. Stand up and be counted!!!

We rely on public donations
Assisi Animal Refuge relies on donations to continue operating. We care for abandonned animals until a place can be found for them, maintain feral cat colonies, which means vet bills and feed expenses. Please help if you can.
